Arc Raiders Trio Roles | U4GM Advanced Strategy
The queue split exposed a habit that used to be survivable: treating every raid like a noisy loot race. In Patch 1.36.0, solo players no longer need to plan around a coordinated trio suddenly appearing over a ridge, but that does not make solo safer. It makes it more punishing in a different way. I started valuing ARC Raiders BluePrints less by rarity and more by whether the crafted item helped me leave a bad fight alive.
Solo Queue Is About Information, Not Bravery
Solo lobbies feel quieter for about thirty seconds, then every gunshot becomes a dinner bell. Most players are not charging straight at you; they are listening, waiting for you to finish an ARC target, reload, heal, or open a container. The old "win the fight, take the loot" mindset gets people killed because a clean kill often leaves you exposed to the real threat.
1. Shoot ARC units only when you know your next cover position.
2. Save one mobility tool for extraction, never for faster looting.
3. Rotate after valuable drops instead of searching the same building twice.
4. Treat unexplained silence near an objective as another Raider nearby.
EMP grenades are especially efficient around ARC Turbines now that their rewards are worth contesting. Disable the target, collect the core materials, and move before checking every crate in the area. Greed is the usual mistake here. A turbine can fund several runs, but dying with its loot because you wanted one extra attachment is still a net loss.
Why Trio Matches Got Harder Instead of Easier
Trio queue has removed the excuse that a loss happened because another squad had numbers. Every enemy team has the same headcount, so the better comms and cleaner resource use show immediately. You do not need tournament-level callouts, but three players independently taking angles, spending ammo, and healing at random will lose to a squad that picks one target and pushes together.
The reliable setup is still an anchor, a striker, and a support-minded scout, but players misunderstand the roles. The anchor is not supposed to stand still and absorb everything. Their job is to hold the safe lane, deny a push with shields or sustained fire, and keep teammates from getting collapsed on. The striker needs burst damage, often making the Rascal Grenade Launcher attractive, while the support player carries the boring supplies everyone suddenly needs after a long fight.
Do not dump your best ammo into the first distant contact. Force enemy heals, watch their reposition, then commit when somebody is separated. A fast opening knock matters because revives consume time, utility, and space. Chasing a wounded player through unknown terrain, though, is how an even fight turns into your squad walking into a prepared crossfire.
For progression, spend craft materials on repeatable survival value before flashy weapons. A dependable extraction kit, healing reserve, and enough utility for one contested objective will improve your returns more than a costly gun you are afraid to use. Players who buy ARC Raiders BluePrints should still prioritize recipes that fit their usual queue, because the best item is the one you can replace after a rough raid.
