These platforms have become indispensable for daily operations but have also emerged as a significant new threat vector. Employees can easily share malicious files or links in a chat channel, and compromised accounts can be used to send fraudulent messages or exfiltrate sensitive data. In response, security vendors are developing solutions that integrate with the APIs of these platforms to provide a similar set of protections as they do for email.
