Choosing your class in Aion 2 is one of the most important decisions you'll make at launch. With eight available classes—Templar, Gladiator, Assassin, Ranger, Cleric, Chanter, Sorcerer, and Spiritmaster—each offering a distinct playstyle, role, and combat identity, making the right choice early can define your entire experience.

Aion 2 fully embraces the holy trinity MMO system, meaning classes are clearly divided into tanks, healers, and DPS. Before picking a class, the first question you should ask yourself is simple:

Do you want to tank, heal, or deal damage?

Let's break down each role and class to help you decide.

Healing and Support Classes

Cleric – The Primary Healer

The Cleric remains the main healing class in Aion 2 Kinah for sale, but its role has evolved significantly compared to the original game. Healing is now more AoE-focused, with fewer single-target heals. Overall healing output is weaker than in classic Aion, making Cleric more of a hybrid healer-DPS rather than a pure healing powerhouse.

This shift means parties can no longer rely entirely on a healer—players must actively dodge, block, and manage positioning. Despite this, Cleric is still essential for endgame PvE and PvP, especially due to healing, cleansing, and utility.

Best for: Players who enjoy support gameplay with flexible DPS options.

Chanter – Hybrid Support with Strong DPS Potential

The Chanter is a versatile support class that combines healing, buffs, and damage. While it cannot replace a Cleric in high-end content, it excels in mid-tier PvE, PvP, and group support.

In Aion 2, Chanters deal far more damage than in the original game. They bring:

Powerful AoE healing

Party-wide mantras (buffs)

High stun potential

Strong PvP control

Chanter uses a staff as its only weapon, and with improved mobility, ranged abilities, and damage output, it can function as a support, DPS, or situational off-tank.

Best for: Players who like flexibility and being useful in every situation.

Tank Classes

Templar – The True Tank

If you want to tank in Aion 2, Templar is the definitive choice. Equipped with sword and shield, Templars have high defense, strong survivability, and taunt abilities designed for boss control.

Damage output is low compared to DPS classes, but that's the tradeoff for unmatched durability. Templars are essential in endgame PvE raids and large-scale PvP, where frontline presence matters.

Aion 2 also introduces extendable weapons for all classes—including tanks—giving Templars additional reach in combat, which is especially valuable in PvP.

Best for: Players who enjoy leading from the front and controlling fights.

Gladiator – DPS with Tank Potential

The Gladiator is primarily a melee DPS class using a greatsword, but it can also function as a tank in certain content. While not suitable for the hardest endgame encounters, Gladiators have enough durability and AoE control to tank many dungeons.

Gladiators can specialize into:

Knockdown-focused builds (great for PvP)

Life-leech builds, allowing sustained combat through self-healing

With strong AoE damage and defensive tools, Gladiator is one of the most flexible melee classes in Aion 2.

Best for: Players who want heavy melee combat with optional tanking.

Melee DPS Classes

Assassin – High Burst and Stealth Gameplay

The Assassin is the classic stealth-based melee DPS class, wielding daggers and focusing on burst damage, mobility, and backstab mechanics.

Key features include:

Stealth that affects the entire party (up to 10 seconds)

High critical burst damage

Ambush and dash skills

Rune mark stacking similar to original Aion

Assassins excel in PvP, especially small-scale fights, but are also viable in PvE due to their damage output.

Best for: Players who love fast, high-risk, high-reward gameplay.

Ranged DPS Classes

Ranger – Mobile Physical DPS

The Ranger is a ranged physical DPS class using a longbow. It features fluid movement, strong AoE skills, and excellent PvP tools.

Notable abilities include:

Silence effects that prevent enemy skill usage

30-second personal stealth

Strong flying combat potential

While somewhat squishy, Rangers dominate when played at range and reward players with strong positioning and mobility.

Best for: Players who prefer fast-paced ranged combat.

Sorcerer – Burst Damage and Crowd Control

The Sorcerer is a classic magical DPS class wielding a spellbook. It specializes in massive damage and crowd control, including:

Freeze, sleep, and curse effects

High burst damage

Strong PvP utility

Sorcerers are glass cannons—deadly at range but vulnerable if caught. In group PvP, they are often mandatory due to their control and damage potential.

Best for: Players who enjoy tactical spellcasting and high damage.

Spiritmaster – Control and Summons

The Spiritmaster is one of Aion's most iconic classes and returns stronger than ever. Using dual orbs, Spiritmasters summon spirits that function like turrets rather than controllable pets.

Their signature strength lies in fear abilities, both single-target and AoE, making them devastating in PvP—especially in group fights.

Although squishy, Spiritmasters excel in:

Large-scale PvP

Arena combat

Zone control and disruption

Best for: Players who enjoy control-based gameplay and psychological warfare.

Final Thoughts: Which Class Should You Choose?

There is no single “best” class in Aion 2—only the class that best fits your playstyle.

Want to tank? Templar

Want flexibility? Chanter or Gladiator

Want high burst PvP damage? Assassin or Sorcerer

Want ranged dominance? Ranger

Want battlefield control? Spiritmaster

Want to heal and support? Cleric

Aion 2 Items's redesigned class system emphasizes player skill, positioning, and teamwork, making every class viable when played correctly. Choose what you enjoy most, and you'll find a role in both PvE and PvP.
