Large open roads are quick on paper, yet they can expose your whole squad at once. I'd rather take a slightly slower path with two exits than cut across a street with nowhere to duck.

Early Run Priorities

These small decisions keep the opening tidy and stop the route from drifting.

1. Secure armour and ammunition before chasing rare loot.

2. Check corners, stairwells, storage rooms, and side entrances.

3. Leave the area when your squad has enough to continue.

Once the basic kit is ready, start moving toward the main target. Keep your ears open for doors, footsteps, suppressed shots, and vehicles. Sound often tells you more than a quick glance across a street. If another squad is already working the same block, take the longer rotation and keep your supplies.

Keep Your Backpack Flexible

A packed bag can be a problem. Leave a few spaces open during the first half of the run, especially if you're searching for mission items or crafting materials. When something new appears, compare it with what you carry. Does it help the current objective? Will it keep the squad moving? If not, leave it. Try to share supplies instead of letting one player hold everything. One teammate can carry extra plates, another can handle medical items, and a third can keep space for mission goods. It's simple, but it makes the whole squad less fragile after one rough encounter.

Rain and fog change the value of every route. Visibility drops, distant movement becomes harder to read, and open crossings feel much worse. During poor weather, favour buildings and solid cover. Keep the squad close enough to react, but not so close that one blast catches everyone.

The Fallout area needs its own plan. Bring the protection required for entry, mark the exit first, and avoid treating every container as essential. If your squad already has strong equipment and mission progress, walking away is often the smarter play. A safe extraction keeps the next operation possible.
