U4GM Diablo 4 Season 14 Pit 131 Necromancer Build

For players who would rather direct a fight than mash through it, the Season 14 Summoner Necromancer is a great fit. Your skeletons take the hits, your mages keep pressure on targets, and the Golem gives you room when a room starts closing in. You still have plenty to do, though. Good movement, smart corpse use, and well-timed commands matter a lot at Pit 131. The right Diablo 4 Items help turn a decent minion squad into something that can stay alive through long elite packs and rough boss phases. It is a steady build, not a frantic one, and that is exactly why many players stick with it.

What Makes the Build Work

The core idea is simple: let the army deal damage while you create safer openings for it. Skeletal Warriors hold enemies in place and keep fast melee foes off you. Shadow Mages add ranged pressure and work well with the Darkness side of the Necromancer kit. Then there is the Golem. It is not just another summon sitting in the background. Its active skill can pull attention away from you, disrupt dangerous packs, and give your minions a clean target to work on. You will notice the difference right away in dense Pit rooms. Instead of getting forced into a corner, you can slow the pace and make enemies fight where you want them to. Blight is especially useful here because it helps gather enemies and creates a zone your minions can tear through. Sever can also feel good for players who want a more active button between movement and summon commands.

Gear Choices That Matter at High Pit Levels

At lower tiers, almost any minion-focused setup can get by. Pit 131 is different. Small weak spots become obvious, especially when your Warriors fall over or a boss lives long enough to stack dangerous effects around the arena. Start with ranks to Skeletal Warriors, Skeletal Mages, and key minion passives. Minion damage is valuable, but attack speed often changes how the build feels more than people expect. Faster attacks mean more frequent pressure, smoother clearing, and better use of temporary damage windows. Critical strike chance and critical strike damage are also worth chasing once the basics are covered. On the defensive side, maximum life, armour, resistances, cooldown reduction, and minion life all pull their weight. Do not trade every defensive roll for a little more sheet damage. A dead army deals nothing, and having to rebuild it in the middle of a hard pull feels awful. Unique equipment and well-rolled Legendary Aspects can push the build much further, particularly pieces that improve Skeleton attacks, raise summon count, or strengthen Shadow-based effects.

How to Handle the Actual Run

Most failed high-tier runs are not caused by a lack of damage. They happen because players stand still too long, use the Golem command late, or walk into the next pack before their army is ready. Try to enter each fight from the edge rather than the middle. Drop Blight where enemies are likely to bunch up, then let the Warriors meet them first. If a dangerous elite appears, point your Skeletons at it instead of letting them spread across weaker targets. Save the Golem ability for moments that can get messy: heavy crowd control, a packed doorway, or a boss mechanic that leaves little space to move. Corpses should not be ignored either. They support several useful effects and can keep the whole setup running when the screen gets busy. During boss fights, patience pays off. Keep moving around the outer space, refresh your effects, and avoid chasing every small damage opportunity. Your minions are doing the hard work. Your job is to keep them in a position where they can keep doing it.

Paragon and Upgrade Priorities

Paragon progression is where a solid character starts feeling ready for Pit 131. Level the Glyphs that directly support minion damage, survivability, Intelligence, and the stats needed to activate their larger bonuses. It is tempting to jump from item to item looking for one huge upgrade, but the reliable gains usually come from several smaller improvements working together. Masterwork the pieces that carry minion ranks, attack speed, cooldown reduction, and major defensive value first. After that, refine weaker affixes one at a time. Gold can disappear fast when you are chasing perfect rolls, so give yourself a clear order instead of rerolling everything on sight. Get your armour and resistances where they need to be, make sure the minions can survive sustained pressure, then add more offensive power. That order may feel slower at first, yet it makes repeat Pit runs far less stressful.

Final Thoughts

A well-built Summoner Necromancer gives you a calm way to tackle some of Season 14's hardest content without making the run feel passive. There is real decision-making in every pull, from where you place Blight to when you call in the Golem and when you back away. If your current setup feels fragile, focus on minion life, defensive stats, and Glyph upgrades before chasing another damage roll. Players looking to buy d4 gear can use those priorities to avoid wasting resources on pieces that do not help the build's main plan. Keep the army alive, control the room, and Pit 131 becomes a much more manageable target.
