Modern Warfare 4 is setting up a busy late summer, but the Nintendo angle may be the bit that catches players off guard. Westbridge keeps changing

At launch, Kill Block supports 3v3 Gunfight and a larger 10v10 version, with over 500 possible arrangements. Some sections can even bring in rain or snow, and the weather can leave visible moisture or frost on weapons.

Beta dates at a glance

August 21 is doing double duty. Call of Duty: NEXT will show gameplay, offer a closer Multiplayer breakdown, and feature comments from Infinity Ward developers before the beta goes live. It's a smart chance to see whether Kill Block plays as unpredictably as it sounds. You'll probably want to pay attention to the map swaps rather than just the usual weapon reveals. A mode built around changing lanes and cover could reward teams that communicate fast, not just players with sharp aim.

Gunny is not a chatbot

Infinity Ward has also cleared up the talk around Gunny. It isn't an AI tool. It's a developer-made loadout helper that suggests workable builds from attachments you've already earned. Pick close, middle, or long range, and Gunny helps cut through the fiddly menu work. The studio is also dropping traditional random bullet deviation, so shots should feel more consistent. Here's what players can expect from the system.

Vault rewards and the Dreadnought

Vault Edition buyers get Early Access, the Rival Coalition pack with Price, Valeria, Ghost, and Blix, plus mask choices through emotes. There's also a Special Forces set with Operators from the UK, Germany, France, and South Korea, alongside BlackCell, weapon blueprints, and a DMZ bonus. Digital pre-orders include the Moonlit Pearl camo and a Gilded Ruin challenge.
